Chicka Chicka Boom Boom - Bill Martin Jr., John Archambault, Lois Ehlert

This story is about lowercase letters climbing up a coconut tree. But when all of the letters get in the tree, they all fall out because there were too many of them in the tree. Then the lowercase letters' patents, capital letters, came and took care of all the little letters. I loved this book when I was little. It is great for teaching children their alphabet due to all of the catchy rhymes. Another thing the book is great for is connecting lowercase letters with the capital letters. The book does a great in showing that although the letters look different, they are still the same letter. Chicka chicka boom boom! The lexile level is 530L but it would be great for the teacher to read to the class in PreK or Kindergarten.
